CareerSpring champions the potential of first generation and/or low-income (FGLI) college students by providing them with pivotal career resources. Recognizing their unique challenges, this platform bridges the gap between potential and opportunity. Through a free online networking and job placement service, FGLI students gain the essential information, connections, and support they need. CareerSpring’s vision is a future where every FGLI student in the U.S. attains meaningful and high-quality employment.

Empowering Women & Advocating for Racial Justice

Established in the 1930s, the YWCA Evanston/North Shore is a pivotal force in the global movement to eliminate racism and empower women. Through its rich history, from suffrage to civil rights, the organization has consistently championed women and communities. Serving over 8,000 individuals annually, the YWCA offers transformative programs in areas like Domestic Violence support, Economic Advancement, and Racial Justice, all rooted in a mission to uplift women and tackle societal challenges.

Championing Innovators Across Chicago

Chicago Innovation stands at the heart of the Windy City’s innovation ecosystem, connecting and celebrating over 41,000 community members. With activities year-round, it honors regional innovators through the Chicago Innovation Awards and educates budding entrepreneurs via its non-profit arm, the Chicago Innovation Foundation. Their range of impactful programs include “Ageless Innovators,” which promotes intergenerational connections, youth creativity, support for Black & Latine innovators, and spaces where women connect and flourish.

Offering both 1:1 and group sessions, she fosters self-awareness, breaks limiting beliefs, and emphasizes actionable change. With a rich background in HR for tech companies, Kari passionately guides women to drive impactful shifts in their lives.

Empowering Life Transitions

“It’s My Time Now” is a pivotal online course tailored for women at career and life junctures. Addressing deep-seated questions like “What’s next?”, the course uses the Pyramid of Reinvention to guide participants from uncertainty to clarity. Offered as self-directed or group learning under Kavita Ahuja, it aims to ignite the inner spark of women, empowering them to confidently navigate their next chapter.

Nurturing Tomorrow's Leaders

Teen Innovators focuses on bolstering confidence and connection in middle school students through near-peer mentorship from older teens aged 17-22. These mentors, drawing from their recent experiences, design curriculum, lead clubs, and contribute to marketing and digital design, offering guidance to younger students struggling with anxiety and motivation. Christine Hutchison, a seasoned entrepreneur and the founder, crafted this vision after witnessing the impact of the startup ecosystem on her own children.

Upwardly Global is the premier national organization working to support immigrants and refugees with international credentials to restart their careers in the United States. Upwardly Global’s free Career Coaching Program helps immigrants and refugees get back to work in their chosen fields through customized job coaching and career training resources.
