Fierce Woman Feature – The Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

As Women’s History Month comes to a close, I want to use this week’s Fierce Woman Feature to honor not just one but a group of women leaders who are delivering purpose-driven solutions to transform the fields of health, energy and climate, technology, marketing and communications, and more. 

Courtney Peterson and Quita Beeler Highsmith are two examples.

Courtney Peterson is the Senior Vice President, Chief Diversity Officer, and Chief Human Resources Officer at Edison Electric Institute (EEI).Using her leadership skills, including cultural intelligence and interpersonal skills needed to navigate today’s diverse workforce and global marketplace, Courtney drives DEI work for the electric power industry. Quita Beeler Highsmith is the Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer at Genentech. In 2017, she co-founded the Advancing Inclusive Research initiative to recruit and retain patients of color in clinical research studies.
